Having recently found God, self-effacing young nurse Maud arrives at a plush home to care for Amanda, a hedonistic dancer left frail from a chronic illness. When a chance encounter with a former colleague throws up hints of a dark past, it becomes clear there is more to sweet Maud than meets the eye.

End of review.

Promised so much. Delivered very little. Attempted to create tension but resulted in nothing. Just when you thought something would happen, the flame would blow out. I kept expecting but was left wanting each time.

I had to add this extra as my review was short.

What a disappointment! Part rambling, babbling political rally drivel, mixed with Natalie Portman dealing with the affections of older men (yuck). Earth to Wachowski brothers!: if you're going to have a man with a British accent, wearing a mask, give numerous monologues, please tone down the background music so we might be able to make it all out.
